Brief Description
Sherwood Green Nursery Eccleshill is a welcoming, child-centred setting dedicated to providing high-quality care and early education. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive and develop. We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Apprentice to join our supportive team.
Training to be Provided
- Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer
- They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day
- You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
Future Prospects
- Successful apprentices may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Early Years Practitioner role upon completion
- We also offer continued professional development and support to gain further childcare qualifications
Vacancy Detail
As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience while working towards your qualification, supported by experienced practitioners every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the daily care, learning, and development of children in line with the EYFS
- Help plan and deliver fun, engaging activities to support children’s learning
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Assist with meal times, personal care routines, and promoting independence
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
- Observe children and contribute to learning journeys and assessments
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing and encourage positive behaviour
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety
- Work as part of a team and participate in training sessions and meetings
- Develop knowledge and skills while completing apprenticeship coursework
