Vacancy Detail
You will learn to:
- Read and understand technical drawings/circuit diagrams
- Build complex wiring looms following board layouts
- Identification of components, functionality and interaction with other components
- Crimping and soldering
- Testing components, fault finding and diagnostics
- Work with printed circuit boards; surface mount and through hole
- Understand design and software used
- Appreciation of mechanical engineering; lathe and pillar drill
Other Information
- Good practical skills (dexterity) as you will be working with small components
- You will need to be able to recognise the shapes and colours of these components
- Able to manage own workload and prioritise
- Ability to switch between projects when required & meet deadlines
