Brief Description
As a Geospatial Technician Apprentice at InoRail Ltd, you’ll support the delivery of built environment and infrastructure surveys and spatial data collections solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, this role immerses you in cutting-edge geospatial workflows, both in the field and the office.
Training to be Provided
Geospatial Survey Technician, Level 3.
Attendance in blocks at Riverside College, Widnes.
Future Prospects
Progression through survey grades company promotions.
Keen to progress in a career in land and engineering surveying.
Vacancy Detail
You’ll gain hands-on experience with survey equipment, data processing, and technical reporting—laying the groundwork for a thriving career in geospatial survey.
You will assist lead surveyors on site and office delivery teams.
You will also be preparing and checking equipment.
Other Information
Normal hours of work are variable each week dependent on the needs of the business. You will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week over 5 days on which work could fall Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 8 hours per day. You will not be expected to work for more than 60 hours per week. If you are required to work a day shift, the earliest starting time will be 4am and the latest finishing time will be 11pm. If you are required to work a night shift, the earliest starting time will be 4pm and the latest finishing time will be 10am. Actual days, start/finish times will be variable and in accordance with the planning sheet which will be available one week in advance.
May be required to work additional hours, as necessitated by the needs of the business, including weekends or at other times outside your normal hours of work. There is a requirement to work 2 in 4 weekends, workload permitting. Your salary is set at such a level as to compensate for the need for occasional additional hours. However, if you work on the sites on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday shifts), you will receive overtime payments at a shift rate of £175.00.
