Brief Description

We are a customer-driven and rapidly growing business worldwide, and our market-leading premium products are renowned for advances in user experience. We are currently looking for a Mechatronics apprentice to join our team and learn within Research & Development.
Training to be Provided
- The learner will be studying the Manufacturing Engineer (Degree) Level 6 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
- Day release to West Suffolk College

Opportunity for a full-time role upon the successful completion of the apprenticeship, subject to a permanent position being available.
Vacancy Detail
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Support all garden segments with gained testing expertise
- Contribute to Test/Product Development Engineers’ compilation of test plans and procedures
- Organise and undertake test work in accordance with test plans
- Produce appropriate documentation of results and conclusions
- Specification, manufacture/outsourcing and maintenance of laboratory test rigs
- Ensure that all development and test areas are operated in accordance with Company Health and Safety practices, with particular emphasis on housekeeping
- To seek out developments in technology likely to enable improvements in the cost/performance of the company’s products
- Build prototypes
Support to all Engineering departments.
Other Information
A passion for technology is essential, and the role will involve periods of time away from the office performing practical use testing in the local vicinity.
