Brief Description
Join Baker Hughes as a Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprentice, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing, testing, and design while studying towards a Level 6 qualification. You’ll rotate departments to build mechanical and electrical engineering expertise.
Training to be Provided
- On-site training classes at Baker Hughes
- Mentoring by experienced engineers
- Rotations across departments (assembly, testing, design, inspection)
- Hands-on experience with real engineering projects

Vacancy Detail
Daily Duties:
- Assemble, wire, test and inspect products to technical drawings
- Work across mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Use CAD software and engineering tools
- Support hydraulic system design, build and testing
- Follow manufacturing and quality procedures
- Fault finding to sub-assembly level
- Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, sensors)
- Support project planning, scheduling and improvements
- Maintain engineering documentation and IT systems
