Vacancy Detail
Seedlings Day Nursery & and Pre-School require a level 3 apprentice nursery nurse to work as a team member, within the guidance, leadership and coaching of that team, to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe, and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs.
Whilst undertaking theoretical and practical training and completing tasks and assignments to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Early Years Education.
- Supervising and maintaining a safe environment for children at all times.
- Observing, assessing, and evaluating children's growth and development.
- Organise and plan activities to simulate children's growth and development.
- Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the setting.
- Support the existing members of staff with any other day-to-day tasks and activities
To become an apprentice, you must:
- Be 16 or over
- Not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice, you’ll:
- Complete an early years apprenticeship standard
- Have regular one-to-one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- Learn and train for a specific job
- Get paid and receive holiday leave
- Get hands-on experience in a real job
- Study for at least 20% of your working hours
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- Be on a career path with lots of future potential
