Brief Description
An excellent to learn all aspects of plumbing and heating through the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps.
Training to be Provided
Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician apprentices attend College on day release during in College term time and work for their employer for the rest of the time.
Future Prospects
Qualify as an engineer, progress to installation level, further business development available for anyone wishing to progress. We are now an employee ownership trust so no ceiling to career progression
Vacancy Detail
Work will include full conversions of existing heating systems, new installation (1st/2nd fix) of full heating systems including underfloor heating and radiators. Bathroom work to include 1st/2nd fix. Installation (1st/2nd fix) of unvented systems.
This wil inlcude the following duties:
- Fetching tools
- Taking floor boards up
- Chasing walls
- Cutting pipe
- Fixing pipe
- Insulating pipe
- Soldering fittings
- Crimp work
Other Information
Applicants as a minimum will need to be down at our yard in Thirsk for 7.50/8am. You will need a reliable form of transport to and from work. Depending on working location there are times where they may be able to get picked up but only if practical, not a guarantee. Occasionally will need to work late if required to finish a job
