Brief Description
As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will support our experienced tradespeople on the University of Southampton contract, assisting with a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation works across the university's residential halls and estate buildings.
Training to be Provided
- You will work alongside your mentor for four days per week and attend South Hampshire College Group at the Eastleigh site for one day a week, to study and pass a Level 2 Site Carpentry Apprenticeship.
- This apprenticeship will be a 2-year programme made up of 80% work-based learning. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.
Future Prospects
After completing a Site Carpentry Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will become a qualified Carpenter, working independently or as part of the carpentry team.
