Brief Description

The Health and Safety Apprentice will support the Health, Safety and Compliance team with legal, regulatory and operational health and safety responsibilities. You will gain practical experience across a range of safety disciplines while working towards a recognised Health and Safety qualification.

  • Help coordinate safety inspections, audits and assurance activities.

  • Assist with tracking and completing corrective actions arising from audits, inspections and investigations.

  • Assist with maintaining colleague safety and property compliance records and documentation.

  • Support compliance teams in monitoring risk assessment actions through to completion.

  • Participate in and support safety initiatives, campaigns and awareness activities.

  • Support the administration and investigation of accidents, incidents and near-miss reporting processes.

  • Support regulatory compliance activities and data collection relating to the operation of heat networks.

  • Build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Attend apprenticeship training and complete all required coursework and assessments.

  • Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.
