Brief Description

Join Olympus Welding Supplies as a Business Administrator Apprentice and gain valuable experience in a busy office environment. You'll develop administration, customer service and IT skills while supporting the team with enquiries, business systems, customer records and day-to-day office operations.

Training to be Provided


  • Level 3 Business Administrator

  • A bespoke programme of technical and vocational training

  • Functional skills in Maths and English*if applicable


The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated work based trainer who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This apprenticeship is delivered wholly in the workplace, the successful candidate will not need to attend any weekly sessions at the Grimsby Institute unless maths or English is required as part of the apprenticeship.

Vacancy Detail


  • Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries to the appropriate member of the team.

  • Respond to customer emails professionally and promptly.

  • Provide excellent customer service to new and existing customers.

  • Process customer enquiries and prepare quotations where appropriate.

  • Use Sage software to process orders, update customer information and maintain accurate records.

  • Support the migration of historical customer data onto a new customer system, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems in line with company procedures.

  • Prepare business documents, letters and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.

  • Monitor shared inboxes and ensure enquiries are dealt with efficiently.

  • Assist with order administration, invoicing and general office documentation.

  • Update customer accounts and maintain accurate databases.

  • Liaise with suppliers and internal colleagues to support the smooth running of the business.

  • Carry out general administrative duties including scanning, photocopying and document management.

  • Support stock administration and record keeping where required. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and data protection requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and undertake any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the business.
