Brief Description
Summary of The Warehouse Apprenticeship - Working within our warehouse team you will ensure orders are picked and packed accurately, load and unload vehicles, and move materials around the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Alongside internal training you will take the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship programme.
Training to be Provided
Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2.
All training will be carried out during your working day alongside your role, study time and monthly meetings/workshops with your delivery tutor.

Upon successfully completing the apprenticeship and proved your commitment in the role, we envisage you will become a permanent team member with progression routes through to supervising roles.

Summary of The Warehouse Apprenticeship - Working within our warehouse team you will ensure orders are picked and packed accurately, load and unload vehicles, and move materials around the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Alongside internal training you will take the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship programme.
We operate a team structure where we ensure cross training of all our colleagues to ensure maximum flexibility and variety of tasks. Each day will be slightly different but will entail working in the following areas.
As a Warehouse Apprentice, you will learn all aspects of warehouse operations while working alongside experienced colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, checking and storing deliveries accurately and safely
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading goods using safe manual handling techniques
- Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with stock counts
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and free from hazards
- Labelling, sorting and storing products in the correct locations
- Using warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with training provided
- Following health and safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Assisting with quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Reporting damaged goods, stock discrepancies or safety concerns to your supervisor
- Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets
- Learning to use warehouse management systems and handheld scanning equipment
- Supporting the efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse
- Developing customer service and communication skills when working with colleagues and suppliers
- Completing your apprenticeship training and applying your learning in the workplace
This apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in warehousing and logistics.

Entry level role, suitable for someone starting their career, due to legal restrictions on operating specific equipment, applicants must be able to meet the legal age requirements for those duties.
