Brief Description
Northants Electrical Solutions are looking for an Electrician Apprentice to join their team. They are looking for someone who has some electrical experience. You will be carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing work and so much more.

Vacancy Detail
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Installation and Maintenance Electrician to carry out the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of electrical systems across a range of residential, commercial and industrial environments. During this job you will be expected to ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with current regulations, industry standards and company procedures. The role requires a strong focus on health and safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, while supporting the delivery of both traditional and emerging electrical technologies.
• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and fault-finding activities on a range of electrical systems and equipment.
• Work in full compliance with current health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, building regulations, wiring regulations and company policies.
• Install, maintain and test single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including both AC and DC installations.
• Conduct periodic inspections, electrical installation condition reports (EICRs) and routine maintenance in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose electrical faults and identify effective solutions to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Install wired and wireless electrical solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring systems are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
• Assess electrical loads and system requirements when planning new installations or modifications to existing systems.
• Install, inspect and maintain specialist electrical technologies, including electric vehicle charging points, solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage solutions, standby generation equipment and other low-carbon technologies.
• Install and commission life safety systems in appropriate locations within commercial, industrial and residential environments.
• Install electrical supplies and connections for heating, cooling and other building services systems.
• Install containment systems, wiring and cables within buildings while maintaining fire compartmentation and building integrity requirements.
• Work effectively within a variety of environments, including listed, heritage and historic buildings, ensuring specialist requirements are considered.
• Stay informed of new and emerging technologies within the electrical industry, including smart systems, energy-efficient technologies, prefabricated solutions and connected devices.
• Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, contractors and other stakeholders, providing updates and technical information as required.
• Plan and organise work activities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within agreed timescales and to a high standard of quality.
• Complete all required documentation, including quotations, inspection reports, test results, certificates, commissioning records and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and tidy upon completion of all tasks.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills to support professional growth and industry best practice.
