Brief Description
The apprentices will learn all aspects of hairdressing. Daily duties will include observation, shampooing, keeping salon clean/tidy while following the processes in the company handbook. Training will take place in house on models and at college one day per week.
Training to be Provided
Work based learning with attendance at Hertford Regional College Ware campus one day per week to achieve the VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and the Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship standard.
Future Prospects
There will be opportunities for progression and a permanent position subject to performance.
Vacancy Detail
- Customer care - offering refreshments and magazines, dealing with enquiries.
- Reception duties - meeting and greeting, answering the phone, booking appointments, dealing with enquiries.
- Preparing clients for stylists - shampooing, scalp massage, conditioning treatments, removing, colour/foils, rough drying, neutralising perms/straightening/smoothing treatments.
- General tidying of salon & laundry.
Salon training sessions include:
- Knowing when to ask for support.
- Reception/customer care.
- Blow dry/styling.
- Cutting hair.
- All aspects of colouring.
- Perming.
- Hair ups.
- Dealing with all hair textures.
