As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will play an important role in supporting the sales and wider business team with the day-to-day administration of the organisation. This is a varied role that will provide you with the opportunity to develop practical experience and a broad range of business administration skills while working towards your Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.
You will work closely with experienced members of the team and become involved in a variety of administrative and sales support activities. Your responsibilities will include processing customer and supplier orders, preparing and processing invoices, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed and stored correctly.
A key part of the role will be acting as an initial point of contact for customers and suppliers. You will respond to telephone calls and emails, deal with general enquiries and assist with queries in a professional and helpful manner. Where necessary, you will work with other members of the team to ensure that customer and supplier queries are resolved promptly.
You will also provide administrative support to the sales team, helping to ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently from initial enquiry through to completion. This may include updating systems, checking information, preparing documents and communicating with customers and suppliers regarding orders and delivery information.
The role will also involve wider business support, including document management, maintaining databases and spreadsheets, producing and updating data reports, and ensuring that information is accurate and up to date. You will be expected to maintain organised filing systems, both electronically and, where required, manually, while ensuring that confidential business information is handled appropriately.
As you develop within the role, you will gain an understanding of how different areas of the business work together and how effective administration supports the smooth running of the organisation. You will have the opportunity to develop your communication, organisation, IT, customer service, problem-solving and time-management skills.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is looking to start a career in business administration and wants to gain valuable hands-on experience within a professional working environment. The successful candidate will receive training and support throughout their apprenticeship and will gradually take on increased responsibility as their knowledge, confidence and skills develop.
