You’ll gain practical experience in sign making, vehicle graphics and wrapping, large-format printing, vinyl application, design and installation, working on real projects for businesses and organisations.
Training to be Provided
You will work towards a Level 3 Signage Technician apprenticeship, gaining a recognised qualification in the signage and graphics industry. Working with experienced members of staff at Flair Signs in Widnes alongside a tutor from BPIF Training, training will be delivered through a combination of face to face and remote learning.
Future Prospects
Successful completion can lead to a permanent position with Flair Signs and progression to a skilled Signage Technician. You could specialise in vehicle graphics and wrapping, sign manufacture, digital printing, installation or artwork/design, with opportunities to develop into a senior technician or team leader as your experience grows.
Vacancy Detail
No two days will be the same. If you’re creative, practical, enjoy working with your hands and have an interest in cars, vans, design or making things, this is an opportunity to develop valuable skills and build a long-term career in a growing specialist industry.
You’ll learn all aspects of sign making and vehicle graphics, working alongside our experienced team.
Your days will include:
- Preparing artwork
- Operating digital printers and vinyl cutters
- Producing signs
- Applying vinyl and vehicle graphics
- Assisting with vehicle wraps
- Finishing and installing signage.
You’ll work on real customer projects, both in our Widnesworkshop and occasionally on site.
Other Information
This is a hands-on role involving standing, lifting and working with tools, machinery, vinyl and signage materials. Some work will take place outdoors and on customer sites. A keen eye for detail, practical approach and willingness to learn are essential. A full driving licence may be beneficial as you progress but not essential.
