Brief Description
Supports children’s learning, development and wellbeing in an Early Years setting while gaining practical experience and a recognised Level 2 qualification.
Future Prospects
Progression may include employment as an Early Years Practitioner, further responsibility within a nursery or childcare setting, or progression onto a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
The apprentice will support the day-to-day care, learning and development of young children in an Early Years setting. Duties may include:
- Helping with play and learning activities
- Supporting routines such as mealtimes and toileting
- Keeping children safe
- Preparing resources
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and working with colleagues and parents to support each child’s individual needs
