Working Week This is a term-time only position. Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Brief Description
Join Kidz OK & learn while you work. Gain experience supporting children's learning, play and development while working towards a recognised early years qualification, supported by our experienced team, where we invest in people, nurture talent. A place where you can learn, grow & thrive.
Training to be Provided
Training will be work based and you will be supported with a tutor from the YMCA.
Future Prospects
Once qualified you have the opportunity to complete your Level three early years educator qualification.
Vacancy Detail
- Help plan safe, fun activities that follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and suit each child’s interests and needs
- Create a calm, cosy space (Hygge) for children to learn and play indoors and outdoors
- Watch how children play and learn, and help plan their next steps
- Keep records correct, up to date and private. Finish paperwork on time and pass it to Room Leaders to share with families when needed
- Keep the nursery safe, clean and tidy. Put equipment away safely and report concerns straight away
- Follow nursery rules and legal requirements for child safety, privacy, health, personal care and food hygiene
- Help every child feel included. Set a good example and support their feelings and behaviour, following nursery rules and considering their experiences
- Adapt activities and help children with additional needs take part in all areas of learning and play
- Work well with colleagues, families, visiting professionals, other organisations, visitors and students
- Be a key worker and help with daily care, including nappies, toileting and lifting or holding children. The role includes bending, kneeling and crouching
