Working Week: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4pm. Friday 7.30am – 3pm.
Brief Description
Working with a reputable company on a wide variety of onsite projects covering all aspects of building property maintenance and refurbishment, with a permanent position available on completion of apprenticeship.
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (Apprentices lacking these qualifications must gain them before taking the end point assessment.)
Personal Qualities
The applicant should be:
• Highly motivated in their chosen trade
• Have excellent communication skills
Skills Required
• Customer care skills
• Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Excellent time-management
• Good numeracy skills
• Able to work logically to a conclusion.
Training to be Provided
Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
Future Prospects
We would anticipate that the successful applicant would be offered employment within our company upon completion of the training.
Vacancy Detail
Working alongside our existing skilled and experienced tradesmen as well as working alone once skills develop as part of our dedicated team carrying out all aspects of building works and property maintenance.
The work will be vary varied and include all aspects of building and maintenance including:
• First fix, stud walls, doors, windows, skirting’s
• Concrete and brickwork repairs
• Plumbing repairs.
There is a permanent position available following the completion of the apprenticeship subject to completion level of the apprenticeship course.
Other Information
As the vacancy is site based, work will be both inside and outside and involve physical work.
