Brief Description
Would you like to be a Service Engineering Apprentice at RSP UK Suction Excavators in Roxton, Bedford? You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop technical skills. You will work closely with experienced service engineers and technicians to support the R&G Group products, including suction excavators and vacuum tankers.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths or equivalent.

Vacancy Detail
RSP UK Ltd are based in Roxton in Bedford. They are looking for a Service Engineering Apprentice to join them.
In this role you will assist in Equipment Maintenance by supporting the service engineering team in routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on suction excavators and other group products to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
You will also be learning how to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues in group products and assist in implementing appropriate solutions.
You will assist in maintaining accurate service records, including equipment maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventory and learn to identify parts and components for repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely availability and efficient inventory management.
As well as this you will assist in the workshop, including equipment cleaning, organising tools and equipment, and maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
You will have the opportunity to accompany experienced service engineers to customer sites for on-site repairs, servicing, and troubleshooting of group products.
You will adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Learning and Development - you will actively participate in training programs, workshops, and courses.
As well as all this you will develop effective communication skills and provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.

College attendance for this Level 3 qualification will begin in September 2025.

Monday to Friday with hours between 7.30am – 5.00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break (overtime may be available). Occasional Saturday work and occasional overnight stays may be required when supporting the Field Engineer on jobs located further afield.
Other Information
College attendance for this Level 3 qualification will begin in September 2025 at the Leighton Buzzard or Bedford campus. Overtime is available. Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team.
