Brief Description
Carr Body Repair Ltd is a high-quality, independent vehicle body repair centre with a reputation for outstanding workmanship and customer care. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on individual to join our friendly team as an Apprentice Paint Sprayer.
Qualifications Required
To be a successful Paint Technician, there are no previous automotive qualifications needed but, the ideal candidate will have GCSE’s 9 to 4 (A-C) or equivalent in Maths and English
Personal Qualities
Please be aware that you would be using specialist equipment like spray guns along with various masks and breathing apparatus, it is important that Paint technicians always use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures for using hazardous materials
Skills Required

You’ll need to be:
• Hands-on and practical, with a keen eye for detail
• Motivated and eager to build a career in vehicle repair
• A great team player who’s reliable and takes pride in their work
• Positive and proactive, able to follow instructions and work safely
Training to be Provided
This is a Vehicle Damage Paint Apprenticeship programme, delivered by Remit Group.
Awarding Body: Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)
Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Automotive Academy in Derby. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme, which equals 4 weeks per year. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.
You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks either in the workplace or remotely via Microsoft Teams, giving 1-2-1 advice and guidance to help you achieve the following IMI qualifications:
• Vehicle Damage Paint Technician Level 3
