Working Week: Its 40 hours, to include alternate weekends with an afternoon off during the week, it is split shifts, hours to be discussed with employer.
Brief Description
Amazing opportunity to work for a renowned flat racing yard, if you have the right experience for this Senior Groom role you will have some excellent opportunities to ride race horses and accompany them to races in this country and abroad.
Training to be Provided
- Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship Standard
- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
- At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
Future Prospects
- Progression to a higher apprenticeship
- Possibility of full-time employment
Vacancy Detail
All general yard duties:
- Mucking out/keeping yard tidy
- Filling hay nets/water buckets
- Feeding/grooming
- Riding for the suitable/experienced candidate
- Accompanying horses to races here and abroad.
Other Information
This position is for someone that already has good experience in riding thoroughbreds/young horses, ideally already have some race riding experience.
