Brief Description
A Garage Equipment Apprentice Engineer assisting with installation, servicing and repair of vehicle lifts, brake testers, compressors and workshop equipment. Travelling throughout the UK to support customer sites, developing fault-finding skills, following safe systems of work, completing documentation and supporting senior engineers.
Training to be Provided
- You will attend day release each week at Shrewsbury College London Road campus with the remainer of the working week being with RMT Automotive Services
Future Prospects
- Following successful completion of the apprenticeship RMT are offering progression into a senior engineer / team leader role as a fully qualified Garage Equipment Engineer
Vacancy Detail
- Travelling to customer sites and assisting with job preparation and risk assessments
- Supporting installation of lifts, brake testers, and other garage equipment
- Carrying out servicing, inspections, and basic fault-finding under supervision
- Learning electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Completing job sheets, maintaining tools, and logging apprenticeship training hours
