Brief Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at T & M Commercials as an HGV Technician Apprentice. You will be learning alongside a team of qualified HGV Technicians, Assisting in heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance. Feel this could be the role for you? Training to be Provided
Training will be on day release to Exeter College, Hele Road, Exeter, Devon. EX4 4JS.
Future Prospects
Full employment as a skilled HGV Technican.
Vacancy Detail
Learning the Fundementals of Heavy Vehicle Technologies covering Chassis, Braking, Engine, Transmissions and Emmisions Control systems, Electrical systems testing and diagnosis.
Work alongside a fully qualified technican.
Gaining an understanding of HGV Legal and Safety requirements and Vehicle operator Licencing.
Learning how to correctly and safely maintain and repair vehicles from a range of different manufacturers.
Completing jobcards and service paperwork in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
Liase with the parts department to identify and order parts.
Other Information
Travelling to work may be an issue for some as we are on a limited bus route. An HGV technican may have to lift heavy objects and very occasionally work outdoors.
