Brief Description

During the apprenticeship, the candidate will gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen, will learn food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety while working alongside our experienced chefs

Training to be Provided


  • Training will take place one day per week at University of Derby Buxton Devonshire Dome (Tuesday)

  • Additional training and support will happen within the workplace

Vacancy Detail


  • Basic everyday preparation tasks like mash potato, chips, soup, cutting leaf, prepping starters, desserts etc.

  • Maintaining a section, date labels & stock rotation, cleaning, stock management

  • Supporting the head chef during the service with tasks as required

  • Getting involved in menu planning, costing, seasonality etc
