Though we cannot guarantee it, we very much hope that, upon completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will join Deltapoll as a full-time Research Executive.
Vacancy Detail
With a particular emphasis on public opinion data analysis, this wide-ranging, full-time role will involve engagement at every stage of the research process, from the design and testing of questionnaires and discussion guides to the production of findings in the form of tables, reports, or presentations. These may be longer-term projects or fast-paced surveys that require a quick turnaround, but in all cases, working with both senior members of the Deltapoll team and high-profile clients will take place from the outset.
Other Information
An interest in news and current affairs is a must. The ideal candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good attention to detail and have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint would be beneficial, as would knowledge of either SPSS or RStudio.
As a small company, one of the consequences is a relaxed atmosphere and a flat structure where everybody’s thoughts and input are welcome. Some periods will be quiet while others will be very hectic. The subjects covered, and the precise type of work vary; a large proportion of the day can be spent at a desk in the office working on a computer.
