Brief Description
Yeoman Pressings seeks an enthusiastic apprentice to join their team. You will collect and analyse data to estimate manufacturing costs, interpret technical drawings, gather project information, prepare 2D drawings, develop flat patterns, and compile detailed cost sheets.
Training to be Provided
This is a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support apprenticeship, delivered over a 36-month period. The apprentice will attend the training centre In-Comm Training Aldridge or Telford, 2 and a half days per week for the first 14 months.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available with several pathways.
Vacancy Detail
Weekly/Daily Tasks:
- Collect and analyse relevant data and information to accurately estimate the costs associated with manufacturing a product
- Communicating with customers and suppliers to obtain required technical and commercial information
- Interpret and review technical drawings and specifications
- Gather and organise project-related data from internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and modify 2D drawings as required
- Develop flat patterns (blank) for manufacturing processes
- Compile and update detailed cost sheets to support quotation and production planning
