Training to be Provided
- Blended learning: combines remote online learning and face to face teaching delivered by block release in Nottingham
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of the Level 6 Electro-mechanical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, the apprentice will achieve a recognised engineering degree and gain valuable industry experience. This will provide opportunities to progress into a permanent role within the engineering team.
The role may also lead to further professional development, including working towards Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognised professional engineering institution.
There will also be opportunities to take on greater technical responsibility, project leadership roles, and further specialist training within the organisation.
Vacancy Detail
- Participate in a variety of projects, assisting in ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Gain a deep understanding of the technical and operational aspects crucial to railway systems engineering
- Undertake formal University training, coursework and exams throughout the duration of the apprenticeship
- Continued engagement and progress within apprenticeship programme
- Supporting senior colleagues in tasks such as hazard identification and mitigation, fault analysis, technical investigation, auditing, design evaluation, structures assessment work, and maintenance optimisation
- Preparing and presenting proposals for new work opportunities

The following A levels are not accepted: Citizenship Skills, General Studies and Critical Thinking.
