As an Engineering Manufacturing Apprentice, your role will focus on supporting engineering and production activities across Howco’s manufacturing operation.


Responsibilities will include:



  • Supporting day‑to‑day engineering and production requirements within a precision manufacturing environment

  • Carrying out mechanical and metallurgical activities in line with engineering drawings, standards, and customer specifications

  • Preparing, processing, and assessing materials to ensure compliance with required tolerances and quality standards

  • Accurately recording technical data and results, ensuring clear traceability and documentation

  • Assisting with the preparation of engineering documentation, material certification, and technical reports

  • Supporting internal quality and inspection procedures

  • Working in accordance with company procedures, engineering standards, and health & safety requirements

  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities, including efficiency, quality, and process optimisation projects

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment

  • Developing strong “right first time” engineering discipline and attention to detail

  • Working flexibly to meet customer and operational requirements
