Brief Description
WF2 7AR We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Qualifications Required
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Future Prospects
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and patients via telephone, email and online platforms, supporting the processing and supply of prescriptions, carrying out housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, and helping to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day operations of a busy online pharmacy, helping to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and customers receive a safe, efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Key duties include:
Supporting the processing of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacy team
Using pharmacy systems to manage prescription orders and patient records
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
Supporting the dispensing and dispatch process
Maintaining high standards of confidentiality, accuracy and health & safety
Working as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of the online pharmacy

Duration: Typically 15 months
Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
