Brief Description
Kickstart your career with our Plumbing & Domestic Heating Apprenticeship! Learn to install, service & maintain water, heating & drainage systems. Work with boilers, sanitaryware & pipework. Gain hands-on experience and specialise in one of three key areas.
Training to be Provided
- Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Training will take place at Waltham Forest College
- Training will be 1 day a week
Future Prospects
- Qualified Plumbing & Heating Engineer – Work independently or with a company on domestic or commercial projects
- Senior/Lead Plumber
Vacancy Detail
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Once pipes and plumbing fittings are installed, fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks
- Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring
- Install sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to relevant systems
- Ability to use equipment such as angle grinders and SDS drills
