Brief Description

Join The Laceby Teapot as a Front of House Team Member Apprentice. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a busy café environment, supporting front of house service, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and delivering excellent customer service while working towards your Level 2 Food and Drink Team Member Qualification.

Training to be Provided


  • Level 2 Food and Beverage Team Member

  • A bespoke programme of technical and vocational training

  • Functional skills in maths and English *if applicable

     




The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated work based trainer who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This apprenticeship is delivered wholly in the workplace, the successful candidate will not need to attend any weekly sessions at the Grimsby Institute unless maths or English is required as part of the apprenticeship

  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service to all visitors

  • Take orders accurately using the till and handle payments

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with standards

  • Support basic food preparation, including sandwiches, snacks and hot

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the café, kitchen and

  • customer areas

  • Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times

  • Restock supplies and assist with stock rotation and deliveries

  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Handle customer queries and resolve minor issues politely and efficiently

  • Support opening and closing procedures of the café

  • Complete all apprenticeship learning, training and assessments on time

  • Follow health and safety procedures and report any issues promptly
