Brief Description

Training to be Provided
Training will take place in the workplace, allowing the apprentice to learn in a real nursery environment. Additional teaching will be delivered on-site by a Development Coach, with sessions taking place once a month to support progress and development.
Future Prospects
Once you have completed the Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship, you will be offered a role as a full-time practitioner, and if you like can progress to complete L5.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Early Years Apprentice will support the work of the Mara Nursery room-based staff and will include:
- Working in partnership with the room staff to provide quality activities according to the age of children.
- To safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of the children in the nursery.
- To maintain and adhere to relevant codes of practice.
- Make accurate and reflective observations based upon the individual needs, interests and stages of development of children.
- To work according to Turtles Nursery values and policies.
- To attend monthly staff meetings and receive training.
- To be flexible within the working practices of the setting.
- To respect confidentiality.
- To develop your role as a key worker.
- Specific childcare tasks- ensuring mealtimes are social, changing children as required, developing activities that are relevant to the age/stage of individual children.
