Brief Description
As an Apprentice Dispensary Assistant, you will support the dispensary team in providing an efficient and professional service to patients. You will gain hands-on experience in a healthcare environment and learn about the safe handling and dispensing of medicines.
Training to be Provided
- The Business and Customer Service Apprenticeship will take you 15 months to complete, and is accomplished in the workplace
- You will be expected to attend college at least fortnightly throughout the year where you will receive one-to-one support from your assessor and functional skills tutors
Future Prospects

- Upon successful completion, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to continue their development within the practice and be supported to undertake a Level 2 Dispensing Qualification, leading towards becoming a qualified Dispenser
Vacancy Detail
- Unpacking and checking incoming stock deliveries
- Stock rotation and stock management
- Assisting with the preparation of prescriptions for dispensing under supervision
