Brief Description
Dental nurses are an essential part of the healthcare sector. With this apprenticeship, you'll learn how to prepare equipment and instruments used during procedures. You'll learn to ensure they are clean and hygienic and also manage patient records, keeping them up to date.
Training to be Provided
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Future Prospects
Career path and progression move into a team leader, manager or dental practice manager position, serve in the armed forces as a dental nurse, become a dental hygienist or dental therapist with further training, become an orthodontic therapist to help dentists improve the look and position of patient's teeth.
