Working Week: However can be reduced to 12 months if you have prior learning or have completed the Autocare Apprenticeship (judged on an individual basis). Monday to Friday, times to be confirmed. Possible weekend work.
Brief Description
A Motor Mechanic Apprentice (L3) services and repairs light vehicles and works either in dealerships or independent garages. Work ranges from replacing simple parts to solving complex faults. Holder of a Level 2 qualification with 6 months+ garage experience, can have the opportunity to earn a salary and gain a level 3 qualification.
Training to be Provided
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Future Prospects
Following the completion of your Advanced Apprenticeship (12 months), there are then a number of opportunities for progression within the Motor Industry, including (but not limited to): MOT Tester, EV, Hybrid or Senior Technician or Workshop Manager.
