Brief Description
As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers
in our workshop and on customer sites, learning how to inspect,
maintain, service, diagnose and repair a wide range of construction plant equipment. You will receive structured training and support throughout your apprenticeship.

Reaseheath College.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the
apprentice will have the opportunity to progress into a qualified
Construction Plant Engineer role. They will gain industry
recognised skills and experience in the maintenance, repair, and
diagnostics of construction plant equipment.
Further career progression may include advanced technical training, specialist engineering roles, supervisory positions, workshop management, or manufacturer-accredited qualifications.
The apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in the construction plant and heavy equipment industry.
Vacancy Detail
- Assisting with the servicing, maintenance and repair of
construction plant machinery and equipment. - Learning to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical
faults. - Carrying out inspections and routine preventative
maintenance. - Using specialist tools, equipment and diagnostic
technology. - Preparing machinery for delivery and customer use.
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
- Following health and safety procedures and safe working
practices at all times. - Keeping the workshop clean, organised and efficient.
- Working alongside experienced engineers to develop
technical knowledge and practical skills. - Attending college and completing apprenticeship
coursework as required.
