Working Week: Minimum of 30-hours per week working a range of hours between the following days/times: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 18:30.
Brief Description
The apprentice will be expected to work alongside a team of qualified and unqualified staff to support the daily running’s of the nursery routine and provide a safe nurturing environment for the children. The manager on site will support the apprentice’s development and make sure college work is also being completed.
Training to be Provided
Working towards completing Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard. Work based learning with ad hoc sessions at Hertford Regional College or online.
Future Prospects
There will be opportunities for progression and a permanent position subject to performance.
Vacancy Detail
- The apprentice will work both inside and outside of the nursery and carry out basic cleaning duties linked with the children alongside the rest of the team
- Duties will include changing nappies, cleaning the food room and making sure the cleanliness of the setting is being kept on top off
- The apprentice will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and how it’s used throughout the nursery to support child development, planning, observing and interacting throughout a range of activities
