Brief Description
River Cottage Limited are offering a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Horticulture Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals and develop new skills and knowledge.
Training to be Provided
- You will be working towards a Level 2 Horticulture / Landscape Construction Operative Apprenticeship Standard
- You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor
- You will be required to attend Bicton College on a block release basis
Future Prospects
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be an opportunity for continued employment and further development opportunities
Vacancy Detail
The apprentice will work alongside our Head Gardener and may get involved across all aspects of the garden and overall estate, including:
- Mowing and strimming of estate
- Maintenance of the orchard area
- Pruning and hedge maintenance
- Maintenance of shrubs and borders
- Planting, plant care and maintenance of plants and shrubs
- Supporting the team with vegetable planting, maintenance and harvesting
- Working in line with organic and sustainable farming practices

Own transport is required or to live locally, due to the rural location of the business and lack of public transport links.
