Brief Description

The Digital Construction Apprentice will support the Digital Construction Logistics Planning team in producing high-quality technical drawings, site layouts, 3D models, visualisations, surveys, and tender documentation.

Training to be Provided

As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Level 3 Digital Engineering Technician Standard via our training partner, Learning Skills Partnership . Your Apprenticeship typically takes 24 months to complete and is fully supported through a combination of regular online lessons, e-learning materials, and access to their team of experts for 1-2-1 advice and support.

Vacancy Detail

This apprenticeship provides structured development in digital engineering tools (AutoCAD, AutoTURN, SketchUp, Twinmotion). It aims to help the business increase capacity and build long-term digital skills within the team.
The role is designed to grow over time, starting with supervised tasks and progressing towards independent delivery of core digital outputs within 6–12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational responsibilities will include supporting the team with:
  • Preparing and revising 2D logistics plans, AutoCAD drawings, and digital site layouts.
  • Assisting with swept path analyses using AutoTURN.
  • Supporting 3D modelling and visualisation work (SketchUp / Twinmotion).
  • Undertaking photo and video site surveys.
  • Assisting with tender documents, presentations, and project overview packs.
  • Helping collate hazard identification (HAZID) information for the DGP Way.
  • Supporting the development of digital documentation and new digital capabilities.
