Working Week: Shifts to be confirmed including 4 hours study time for Off the Job Training, but up to 35 hours per week total. We are open from 8.00am-5.00pm during term time, plus selected holiday club weeks
Brief Description
Are you looking to train in childcare? A friendly, preschool in Denmead, Hampshire is looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join their team. The successful candidate will work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis supporting the planning of and delivery of activities.
Training to be Provided
Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard:
- NCFE/CACHE Level 3 Standard for the Early Years Educator
- Functional Skills in English and maths at Level 2 minimum (unless exempt)
- Paediatric First Aid
- Training completed via work-based visits at the preschool and 4 hours of study time provided for coursework
Future Prospects
- Upon completing the Level 3 qualification, you may be offered the opportunity for a full time role and further training
Vacancy Detail
As an Early Years Apprentice, you will contribute to a high quality caring environment for children.
This includes:
- Creating warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally
- Under supervision you will provide all aspects of care for children
- Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
- Acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Being aware of the preschool's policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
- Completing all work to desired timescales as set by Showcase Tutor
