Vacancy Detail
You’ll be joining a Radiopharmacy team of 27 staff pharmacists, scientists and technicians organised across production, clinical trials and quality assurance (QA).
The post reports to the Chief Technician and is accountable to the Chief Pharmacist.
Day to day, you’ll work most closely with the technician team, who will be your main colleagues as you learn the role.
Main duties of the job
The RMH Radiopharmacy is a licensed GMP manufacturing unit producing radioactive medicines used to diagnose and treat cancer patients.
Working under the guidance of the Chief Technician, you’ll learn to:
- Prepare, dispense, label and distribute radiopharmaceuticals using aseptic technique in a Grade A clean room environment
- Carry out environmental monitoring, validation and cleaning of the cleanroom suite and equipment
- Manage stock and starting materials, ensuring correct storage and rotation
- Record monitoring data accurately and support the department’s quality management system
- Accuracy, attention to detail and a commitment to safe patient care are at the heart of everything we do here
