Brief Description
Are you looking to progress an emerging career in adult care? This Lead Adult Care Worker Apprentice role with Egalite Care Ltd will help you do that whilst supporting young adults with learning disabilities, promoting independence through activity and leading by example while working towards a Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Future Prospects
- A Senior Support Worker can progress to Advanced Healthcare Worker, Deputy Team Leader and Team Leader
- Opportunity to develop into a management role and opportunities can be discussed on successful completion of the apprenticeship

What you will learn:

Key Responsibilities:
- Person Centred Care for each client
- Chatting and spending time with clients
- Taking clients out for activities
- Record keeping
- Helping with household chores
- Encouraging clients to achieve their goals
- Organising birthday celebrates, Xmas, fireworks evening etc.
- Personal care if required, including intimate personal care, medication and support with eating if required
- Undertaking training
- Delegate responsibility and supervise the care work of other members of the team
Who you will be:
- Someone who is looking for career progression after taking their first steps into the adult care arena
- Someone who may already have achieved their Level 2 qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Someone with a caring and kind nature with a positive personality
- Someone who demonstrates a dynamic and creative approach
- Someone who has the courage to make the right choices for people and speak up if the person they are supporting is at risk
- Someone who has references arranged and has been DBS checked
Other Information
Things you need to know:
- This is a 18-month apprenticeship and applicants MUST BE free from full time education to be eligible to apply for it and have the minimum qualification level to apply for it
- The role will start in September 2026 with the Apprenticeship learning programme starting in October 2026
- Applicants MUST BE resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to the start of learning and have work authorisation for the UK
- Applicants WILL NOT BE eligible to apply if they have already achieved a qualification which is equal to or higher thank the apprenticeship standard on offer
- Applicants MUST BE resident in the area local to the apprenticeship opportunity or be prepared to relocate in time to start employment and study
- Applicants MUST BE committed to the learning and stay to the end of the apprenticeship
- All positions are subject to references and DBS check.
