Working Week: Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 4.00pm. Friday, 8.00am - 12:30pm. Please note, these hours are during your first year with Seta. They may change once you move into the workplace.
Brief Description
Join Logic Manufacturing’s 4-year Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship and gain hands-on experience with a respected British engineering company. Learn MIG welding and fabrication skills, earn recognised qualifications, receive full training and support, and build a strong foundation for a rewarding engineering career.
Training to be Provided
The majority of your first year will be spent at Seta in Washington, Tyne and Wear.
Your second year will be spent 4 days in the workplace with Logic and 1 day with Seta on day release.
Your final 2 years will be spent full time with the employer, with regular reviews with a Seta apprenticeship manager and your employer.
Future Prospects
It is expected that the successful candidate will progress into a fully qualified Metal Fabricator role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
- Learn and develop MIG welding and fabrication skills
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Prepare and assemble metal components for welding
- Use hand tools, workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely
- Assist in the manufacture and production of trailers and attachments
- Carry out quality checks on completed work
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
- Work alongside experienced engineers and fabricators
Other Information
Please note: Although Logic Manufacturing are based in Hexham, you will spend the majority of your first year training at Seta in Washington (NE38 9BZ).
Before applying, please ensure you can reliably travel to both the Washington training centre and the Hexham workplace for the duration of the apprenticeship.
