Brief Description

Are you looking to gain experience and start a career in Early Years care and education? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience in a nursery setting while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Training to be Provided

Training will consist of 4 days a week in the work setting and one day release to college at our Bromsgrove Campus.

Future Prospects

There may be employment opportunities within the setting after sucessful completion of the apprenticeship if appropriate vacancies arise.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide care and learning opportunities for children, promoting their communication and language, physical, social and emotional development.

  • Help to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, encouraging children’s development, creativity and curiosity.

  • Support practitioners in observing and assessing children’s learning and development, recording progress, and maintaining accurate learning and development records.

  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children, following the nursery’s safeguarding, health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with colleagues, learning from experienced practitioners and contributing to a positive learning environment and collaborative team working.

  • Build secure relationships with parents and carers, offering support and regular feedback on children's progress and well-being.

Other Information

A full DBS will be required.


Apprenticeships include time away from working in the setting to complete specialist training in college. You will study to gain professional knowledge and skills on a day release basis.
