About the role:
As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals, you'll develop practical skills and knowledge by:

Dispensing and accurately labelling prescriptions

Assembling prescribed medicines

Selling over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products

Providing advice and information on common ailments and healthcare products

Ordering, receiving, storing, and managing pharmaceutical stock

Monitoring stock levels and carrying out date checks

Supporting NHS and private pharmacy services

Delivering excellent customer service and patient care

Working as part of a busy, professional community pharmacy team

About the Apprenticeship

Qualification: Pharmacy Technician Integrated Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Duration: 24 months

Employment: Full-time paid position

Training: Minimum of one full day each week dedicated to off-the-job learning and study

Outcome: Eligibility to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades 9–4/A–C)* including English, Mathematics, and Science

Willingness to complete the full apprenticeship programme
