Brief Description
The HR Apprentice will perform a range of human resource functions that will support the LETTA Trust’s central operations and school improvement teams.
Training to be Provided
- Level 3 HR Support Qualification
- Delivery: All learning will be online alongside full-time placement at the trust.
- Duration: 18 months

Vacancy Detail
- Assist with general employee and/or learner processes, including recruitment, vetting, and interview support
- Provide administrative support for recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, reference checks, candidate management, offers, acceptances, and rejections
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the LETTA Trust’s Central Operations and School Improvement Teams, including correspondence, query handling, file setup and management, and the production and amendment of contracts
- Compile, organise, and maintain paper and digital records
- Input and update information within HR systems to ensure accurate and complete records are maintained
- Support HR-related training programmes and workshops, including induction activities and open events
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate HR-related projects, including meetings, training sessions, and surveys, and take meeting minutes as required
- Respond to employee and learner enquiries regarding HR issues, policies, rules, and regulations
- Liaise with external agencies and professional bodies on behalf of the Trust, ensuring that messages, mail, and memoranda are distributed efficiently
- Maintain the organisation and general appearance of the office environment
- Demonstrate commitment to the Trust, its inclusive ethos, and equal opportunities for all members of the school community, actively opposing all forms of discrimination
- Participate in the Trust’s performance management scheme, ensuring that objectives are agreed and achieved within the required timescales
- Work across LETTA Trust schools as required and undertake off-site working when necessary
- Attend all meetings and training sessions relevant to the role
- Work collaboratively with leaders to achieve the aims and objectives of the Trust
- Support and comply with the Trust’s statutory policies, including Health and Safety, the Equality Act, and Equal Opportunities policies
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and adhere to the child protection procedures adopted by the Trust
- Undertake any other professional duties commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post
