Brief Description
Guide customers from enquiry to project completion, combining flooring knowledge with strong customer service. Responsibilities include handling calls and emails, assisting in-store customers, preparing estimates and invoices, managing stock and fitters, and maintaining smooth day-to-day shop operations.
Training to be Provided
Business Administrator Level 3.
Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week either at Uxbridge, Harrow or Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be required to complete:
- Work towards gaining a full Qualification
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
- Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours
- Standard and End Point Assessment
- Functional Skills in English, maths, and ICT (if required)
Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.
Future Prospects
We are looking for someone keen to learn all aspects of running the shop with a view to becoming a permanent member of our friendly team able to fully manage the shop.
Vacancy Detail
The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding customers from initial enquiry through to project completion.
This position combines practical flooring knowledge with customer service, estimating, and day-to-day operational responsibility.
- The applicant would be expected to be able to answer the telephone confidently, respond to emails and to serve customers face to face in the shop
- Administrative duties would involve creating invoices, typing estimates, tidying the shop, keeping a track of stock and managing the fitters
Other Information
Some physical moving and lifting of materials are often required. Ideally live within an easy, commutable distance to the shop.
