Brief Description
Work alongside experienced landscapers developing practical skills in paving, fencing, turfing, planting, garden construction and grounds maintenance. You will support domestic and commercial landscaping projects while gaining industry experience and completing the Level 2 Horticulture or Landscape Construction Operative apprenticeship.
Training to be Provided
Apprentices will typically spend 4 days per week in the workplace and 1 day per week at Riseholme College, Lincolnshire, combining practical experience with off-the-job training.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the employer hopes to offer the apprentice a full-time position within the business, alongside opportunities to progress onto a Level 3 qualification and continue developing a long-term career within the landscaping industry.
Vacancy Detail
- Carry out grass cutting, strimming and general grounds maintenance
- Assist with turfing, lawn repairs and reseeding work
- Support pruning, planting and garden maintenance tasks
- Use and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely
- Assist with general labouring duties on domestic and commercial sites
- Help keep work areas clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Work alongside experienced landscapers to develop practical skills
Other Information
- Early starts and outdoor working in all weather conditions
- Full clean driving licence required
- Role involves physical/manual work and heavy lifting
- Must be willing to work hard and learn new practical skills
- A genuine passion and interest in the landscaping industry is essential
- Previous landscaping, gardening or grounds maintenance experience would be beneficial
- Travel to different sites may be required throughout the working week
