Ebm-papst Group is a world leading manufacturer and innovator of fans and motors. Seeking a successful candidate to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to attain the qualification in preparation for a full-time occupation as a Manufacturing Engineer.

Training to be Provided


  • The apprentice will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard

  • Qualifications include the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and manufacturing support technologies

Future Prospects

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate can progress to a career in production engineering, sales engineering, project engineering, research and development, supervision and management.

Working in all departments across the business you will work on the following tasks and responsibilities:



  • Supporting engineering and manufacturing teams with day-to-day technical activities

  • Assisting with product modifications, improvements and documentation updates

  • Contributing to problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Supporting testing, inspection and validation of products and processes

  • Assisting in the preparation of technical data, reports and engineering records

  • Collaborating with internal teams, customers and suppliers where required

Other Information

Whilst the role is primarily based at our offices in Chelmsford, the role may require the apprentice to assist with on-site investigation and repair works. Travel to the parent company factories for product training may also be required.
