Brief Description
Carmels Precision Engineering Ltd, part of the Carmels Group, is a UK-based precision engineering and fabrication company located in Ely, Cambridgeshire. The team are looking to recruit for an Apprentice trainee, CNC Miller.
Training to be Provided
- The learner will be studying the Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to North Cambridgeshire Training Centre (Chatteris).
Future Prospects
On completion of an apprenticeship, it would be desired that all candidates remain to progress to fully qualified CNC programmers and to progress in the use of our CAD facilities for both Milling & Turning.
Vacancy Detail
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- The operation of all of our CNC mills and lathes. These comprise of Matsuura, Haas & Doosan machining centres.
- Checking finished parts to customer drawing requirements using various equipment as needed.
- Ensuring the workshop is kept clean & tidy in keeping with our workshop policies.
